RELEASE NOTES

A platform that keeps evolving

New features, improvements and fixes: follow every update to the Inversive platform, version by version.

2026.Q2.7.1

Latest release
Update v2026.Q2.7.1

Standalone headsets

  • New "Update" section in the virtual lobby: it provides more information on the update status of the Inversive software.
  • VR catalog position adjusted: the catalog has been lowered slightly for more comfortable browsing.
  • Richer fleet data export: new information is included in the export, in particular the Inversive versions installed on your headsets.

Web interface

  • "Experiences" tab: on top of a visual redesign of the table, the experience list can now be exported to .xls.
  • Experiences can now be made available directly from an organization's page.

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations

  • Optimized experience updates in the virtual lobby.
  • Adding experiences to a profile no longer shrinks the display area of the list, which could block the addition of new experiences.
  • The virtual lobby administrator panel is no longer accessible when the password entered is incorrect.
  • A headset can now be initialized with no experiences at all, without preventing experiences from being added later.

2026.Q2.5.1

Update v2026.Q2.5.1

🚀 Version tracking is here!

This update focuses on visibility over your content and on the day-to-day management of your standalone headsets.

  • Full-page experience view: for better readability, the information attached to an experience is now displayed on a full page.
  • New "Information" section: it shows the version of your experiences at a glance (.apk files only), from an experience's information on the web platform. You can also see which version is deployed on your headsets, both from the platform (in the headset information) and in the headset lobby (on the experience page).
  • Resumable downloads: network traffic handling has been optimized. After an interruption, downloads on standalone headsets now resume exactly where they stopped instead of starting over. Updating the experiences across your fleet becomes easier, and Inversive updates gain in stability.

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations

  • The Meta OS version is now displayed correctly for every headset in the range.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented an organization or a site from being selected when editing a standalone headset.
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented organization managers from accessing all of their sites.

2026.Q1.3.2

Update v2026.Q1.3.2

🥽 The new models are here!

Two new models join the list of supported standalone headsets:

  • Vive XR Elite
  • Pico Neo 3 Pro / Pro Eye

🔧 Improvements and new settings for Meta models

As part of the ongoing improvement of our services, the Meta range gains the following changes:

Improved Kiosk mode

Meta headsets now benefit from a hardened Kiosk mode that blocks access to the manufacturer menus in most use cases. We will keep improving this feature over the coming weeks.

Kiosk and Wi-Fi settings

Kiosk mode and Wi-Fi can now be configured from the headset and profile information, for models in the Meta range.

Good to know: Meta headsets already configured on the platform, as well as the profiles dedicated to Meta headsets, have Kiosk mode disabled by default and a Kiosk password initialized to "0000". These settings can be changed at any time from the "Settings" sections of headsets and profiles.

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations

  • Fixed an issue that prevented profiles from appearing in some filters.
  • The experience list of a profile now displays normally.
  • Headset information no longer reloads unexpectedly.
  • The experiences available at a site are now displayed even when their status is "Unavailable".
  • Other fixes, performance improvements and minor optimizations.

2026.Q1.2.1

Update v2026.Q1.2.1

🥽 Mirroring mosaic and new headset actions from the web interface

Following on from the previous update, further improvements make the day-to-day operation of your standalone headsets easier.

1. Mirroring mosaic (Pico, Meta, HTC)

  • You can now mirror several headsets at once. Multiple selection, combined with filters, lets you start mirroring on a group of headsets as needed.
  • Different models can be mirrored at the same time, and streams can be added or removed on demand.
  • Any headset can be brought to the front at any time, then displayed full screen if needed.

2. New remote actions (Pico only)

  • Kiosk mode can now be enabled or disabled directly from the web interface.
  • Your headsets can be shut down or restarted remotely, again from the web interface.

Good to know: every standalone headset action is available on a multiple selection from the mirroring mosaic.

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations

  • Fixed an issue that prevented managers from accessing the management of their experiences after an administrator had modified them.
  • Other minor fixes and optimizations.

2026.Q1.1.1

Update v2026.Q1.1.1

🥽 Headset actions from the web interface

To open the year, the "Devices" interface of the Inversive web platform gains direct actions on your headsets. You get the operational features (starting and stopping an experience, screen mirroring) without going through the Headset Center, and without having to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the headsets you are targeting.

1. Live status updates

Headsets connected to the internet now report their status in real time: "On", "In use", "Standby", "Off" or "Not connected". Headsets that are on or in use automatically move to the top of the list, so you can read the state of your fleet faster.

2. Remote start and stop of an experience

On headsets with the "On" status, you can start an experience and then stop it straight from the headset list. These actions also work on a multiple selection: the same experience can be started simultaneously on several standalone headsets in your fleet.

3. Screen mirroring of a standalone headset

A headset that is "On" or "In use" can now be mirrored from the web platform, to watch live what the user sees. The start and stop actions for an experience remain available from this interface.

Coming soon: we are working on the ability to mirror several headsets at once in a grid view. This complementary feature will arrive in the coming weeks.

🔧 Other new features and improvements

  • Improved hand tracking: on top of better tracking on compatible models, you can now leave an experience with the usual gesture (for example, opening your palm toward your face on Pico models).

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations

  • The volume is now applied correctly from the "Settings" menu of the virtual lobby.
  • The version numbers of a headset display correctly in its information panel.
  • Other minor fixes and optimizations.

2025.Q4.1.1

Update v2025.Q4.1.1

👤 New Inversive authentication system

We have rolled out a new authentication system, which brings:

  • Single Sign-On (SSO): a single login to reach every service on the platform;
  • stronger security, thanks to centralized identity and access management;
  • greater flexibility for integration with your internal authentication systems.

This change improves the experience for your users while strengthening the protection of your data.

Important: rolling out this new system triggers a password reset email to every user.

🥽 Virtual lobby redesign on standalone headsets (Lobby)

The way the virtual lobby works on standalone headsets has been completely rethought. Beyond the improvements it brings, this redesign will make future updates easier to roll out and fixes simpler to manage.

1. Interface and navigation

  • The interface has been fully redesigned for smoother, more intuitive navigation.
  • Filters and search have been added to the experience catalog, along with the option to mark experiences as favorites.
  • A floating menu gives access to every virtual lobby feature, even when you are not facing the main interface.
  • Signing in to your account is now done with a code, which avoids entering an email and a password in the VR interface.

2. Optimized loading times and real-time synchronization

  • The lobby loads noticeably faster and no longer causes slowdowns.
  • The installation status of experiences is reflected in the catalog in real time.

3. Other improvements

  • The virtual lobby can now be customized from the administration interface.
  • Added mixed reality to the virtual lobby.
  • Added hand tracking support to the virtual lobby, on compatible models.

🔧 Other new features and improvements

A new version of the Immersive Catalog and of the Headset Center has been released. It fixes issues with their launch and their update, and improves the stability of our services.

Important: to benefit from these improvements, you need to uninstall and then reinstall the apps. An alert message will prompt you to do so at the next launch.

2025.Q2.1

Update v2025.Q2.1

🥽 Standalone headset profiles V2

Headset profile settings, which used to apply only during initial configuration, are now enforced at all times: any change made to a profile is automatically propagated to every headset assigned to it, throughout its life cycle. Managing your fleets becomes more centralized and more responsive, with actions you can carry out in a few clicks:

  • assigning a headset to a profile, or removing it from one;
  • changing the list of experiences in a profile;
  • changing the site it is attached to;
  • updating the Wi-Fi settings and the Kiosk mode password (Pico only).

✅ Improvements to the "Devices" interface

  • New display modes for the headset list.
  • Added filters and sorting to find the headsets you are looking for quickly.

👤 New role: Organization manager

A user with this role has access to every site in their organization, with no visibility over other organizations. You can therefore create roles with an intermediate level of visibility, matching your own structure.

🔧 Other new features and improvements

  • Casting: streaming now opens in a separate window, so you can follow several headsets and run actions in parallel.
  • Experience change tracking: the name of the last user who edited an experience is displayed next to the edit date.
  • Invitation to test an experience: the invitation email has been reworked for a clearer journey.
  • Download center: the latest versions of Headset Center and Immersive Catalog are available in the "Help and support" section.

2024.Q3.5

Update v2024.Q3.5

✅ Testing and validating experiences on standalone headsets

You can now leave comments and screenshots after testing a "pending validation" experience on a standalone headset. Already available from the website and from the Immersive Catalog, this feature now reaches the virtual lobby catalog on standalone headsets.

Good to know: retrieving screenshots from the virtual lobby is only available on the Pico 4 Enterprise.

💬 "In-game" comments

For upcoming content built with the Inversive SDK, a new module lets the tester of a "pending validation" experience take a screenshot directly from their play session. They can then draw on it, comment on it and send it instantly.

🛠️ Fixes and optimizations
